BAND PROGRAM 2012-2013
What an exciting year we have planned for our instrumental musicians! We will be having two performing bands for musicians in grades 4 - 8. You can be in one of them, regardless of previous experience.
For the student just starting out, we have our Cadet Band, which is open to all musicians who are just beginning an instrument. We will start our musicians on the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, and bass guitar. Drummers and percussion players will have their practices on Tuesdays and Fridays. Our Concert Band is designed for 6, 7, 8th grade students who have completed one year on their instruments.

BAND FEES
$200.00 per year. Band fees are due in advance. Payment in full is due by October 31, 2011.
- If a student wishes to drop band class, forms will be available in the school office. These forms must be signed by the parent and band teacher and presented in the school office. Parents will be responsible for fees until a written notice of withdrawal is received in the office.
- Pacific Winds has the band books we will be using. Cadet Band will need “Standards of Excellence Book 1,” and Concert Band will use “Standards of Excellence Book 2.” Students will need to own their own book. (Concert Band will move to Book 3 in February.)
