PIANO PROGRAM
The study of music offers an opportunity for enjoyment and enrichment in our lives now and for years to come. St. Paul School offers piano lessons to students during the school day, before school and after school. The development of strong musicianship and a lifelong love of music is paramount in our program; piano coursework consists of music theory, sight reading, and a wide variety of repertoire. We ask for parent support and supervision of home practice. The classroom doors are always open to parents and grandparent to attend lessons to assist their child with the home practice.
Students receive weekly private or partner lessons and group performance classes during the school year and participate in three Recitals (Christmas, mid-March and Year End). In addition, students may participate in additional piano festivals, recitals and syllabus sponsored by the Oregon Music Teachers Association. Tuition for the current year is $700 per year (10 monthly payments of $70); additionally, a $30 book deposit is payable in September.
