Dear Parents,

We are off to a great start for November!  This month we will be learning the letters, F, G and H.  We will be studying Native Americans, Pilgrims, harvest, turkeys and God’s blessings.  Speaking of God’s blessings, Mrs. Wheeler and I know that God has blessed us by letting us teach your children!  Thank you!

Mass is November 18th.  Children can be here at 11:45 as Mass is at noon.

Next week we will be studying the letter “G”.  This week we are working on the Thanksgiving reenactment.  If your child has a speaking part, I will be sending the words home with your child.  Please help them rehearse and memorize their lines.

Please let Mrs. Wheeler or myself know if you will be here on November 20th.  We are planning a short Thanksgiving reenactment and then inviting parents to stay and feast with the Pilgrims and Indians!  The time for the sailing of the Mayflower is 2:15.  For the feast we are asking parents to sign up to bring the different food items.  Please check the sign-in counter for this!

We will be doing a few science/math graphing activities at school.  The children will guess; if we planted candy corn would it grow?  Of course we will plant a goldfish, (cracker), in the soil with it to help it grow just like the Native American’s taught the Pilgrims.  Also, we will guess if Indian corn will sprout if placed in water.

We have chosen our Native American names.  Be sure and ask your child which name the picked!

November Blessings!
